Co-op teams up with local businesses to clear footpath on Drum Industrial Estate

The event was in response to a request from North Lodge Parish Council for volunteers to help tidy up the pathway connecting the business estate to a nearby housing area.

The Co-op, based on the estate, teamed up with City, their onsite engineers, and UK Landscapes, who manage their car park and colleague areas, to tackle the project.

North Lodge Parish Council also joined the initiative, providing refreshments for all the volunteers.

Sarah Skillen, Engagement Coordinator at the Co-op, led the event. She said: “The pathway is used daily by people who work on the estate, so it’s crucial that it remains accessible and safe. This event not only improved the local environment but also offered a great opportunity for businesses to network and build connections within the community. We hope this event encourages others to take part in future efforts to enhance our shared spaces.”
