Co-op calls for community spirit: volunteers needed to clear footpath on Drum Industrial Estate
The Co-op is rallying businesses on the Drum Industrial Estate to participate in a community event to clear a footpath on Wednesday 16 October.
The initiative is in response to a request from North Lodge Parish Council for volunteers to help cut back and clear the footpath that connects the business estate to a nearby housing area.
Sarah Skillen, Engagement Coordinator at the Co-op, is organising the event. She said: “The pathway is used daily by people who work on the estate, so it’s crucial it is accessible and safe. Please spread the word and encourage other businesses to join us in this worthwhile cause.”
In addition to improving the local environment, the event will provide an excellent opportunity for networking among nearby businesses.
