Micro Weighing Solutions launches vehicle weight monitoring system to enhance road safety

The AxChk4 is designed to ensure compliance with weight regulations and improve road safety, especially in the logistics and delivery sectors.

The system is already in use by prominent UK white goods retailer, Marks Electrical. It features four weighpads, two ramps, a Micro 6000 indicator, software for data capture, and three large display screens to show weight data for axles and vehicle weight.

This setup reduces the risk of overloading – a critical factor in preventing vehicle accidents, excessive wear and tear, and regulatory breaches.

A key safety feature of the AxChk4 is its app, which provides real-time feedback through a colour-coded, traffic light system. This visual alert helps drivers and loading teams take corrective action if weight limits are exceeded, minimising potential safety risks before vehicles take to the road.

The system also removes the need for manual calculations, reducing the likelihood of human error. Plans to add a feature that alerts drivers of remaining weight capacity during loading are also underway.
